Soon to released Cake & Cookie books

I always think to myself "that's it" I'll never need another cookbook, that's until I see 'coming soon' books lists! Here is four yet to be released books that caught my eye, one I'll definitely be buying for me, two I'm thinking about as gifts... because I am one of "those" early Christmas shopper types ;)

All are available for pre-order on Amazon or for Australians & New Zealanders if your prefer to shop locally Fishpond will have all the titles available on the release dates.

    release date October 1st 2010

Expect a slew of marcaron books to hit the market before Christmas.  Okay, I'm a sucker for these gorgeous French cookies and I'll be picking one, two... all? of the releases, just in case one of them has "that perfect no fail formula" starting with 'Macarons: Authentic French Cookie Recipes That You Can Make at Home'. Authored by fellow Parisians & owners of the Mad Mac Bakery NYC, Florian Bellanger and Ludovic Augendre ... this book sounds good!!

    release date October 10th 2010

An Australian title next, a follow up to the popular 'Planet Cake' book 'Planet Cake - Cupcakes' is due from internationally renowned cake guru Paris Cutler later in the year. This title will be popular with experienced and newbie cake decorators alike; included in the 192 pages are 20 designs, methods and step by step instructions. Should be widely available in UK, US and Australia, though if your an international customer try to get a copy early as 'Planet Cake' sold out quickly internationally.

    release date November 1st 2010

Always seeking inspiration? Then here's a book that could suit your needs '1,000 ideas for Decorating Cupcakes, Cakes and Cookies' (1000 series). Although it does contain some recipes for cakes and frostings, this is more of an 'eye candy' book. Sisters Sandra Salamony and Gina M. Brown have collected 1000 of cookie and cupcake designs in one volume. This is a great idea for a book, yet mixed reviews for their previous textiles release concerning the photo quality leave me a little hesitant... I'd put it on the "wait and see" list and watch out for reviews on it before purchase. But oh, if it's good it will be the perfect gift choice for all your cupcaking and cookie friends!!

    release date September 8th 2010

'Cake Pops' if you loved Bakerella on 'Martha Stewart' or follow her fun & fabulous blog then this 160 page title will be a "must have". Includes over 40 designs and step by step instructions for these cute and charming treats.

    Happy Baking :)

Hi, don't know if you have heard of a website called The Book Depository, but it is very good.

It is located in the UK, and is just like Amazon (but with cheaper prices), and, wait for it, FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING!

I have used them a couple of times and found them to be faultless.

    Just thought I'd mention it.

I have actually Elise, and your right the Book Depository is great... I use them quiet a bit and I'm waiting for the Planet Cake Cupcake book to arrive from them now.

I use Amazon a lot too for mixed orders books/dvd's/cooking equipment etc.

Thanks for leaving the comment :)
